The Opus 99 has been developed especially for miking bass drums.The strong neodymium magnet system and a mass reduced specialdiaphragm give the microphone a powerful reproduction withexcellent transient characteristics. The optimised frequency response guarantees audio quality whichhas until now, only been achieved by using high-quality condensermicrophones.The hypercardioid polar pattern helps eliminate feedback in liveapplications and allows an optimum channel separation betweendifferent instruments. The microphone can operate at very high sound pressure levelswithout loss of sound quality and virtually no distortion. With theoptional ST 99 stand the Opus 99 can be placed directly inside orin front of the bass drum.
