The RMX1000 offers four remix functions:
Isolate FX: with three knobs to process the low, mid and high bands; includes three Cut/Add, Trans/Roll and Gate/Drive effects plus an Isolator
Scene FX: 5 Build Up effects (BPF Echo, Echo, Noise, Spiral Up and Reverb Up) and 5 Break Down effects (HPF Echo, LPF Echo, Crush Echo, Spiral Down and Reverb Down). A large potentiometer allows to increase or decrease the parameters of the effects and two buttons are dedicated to the settings of "sub-parameters".
X-Pad FX: a touchpad with four built-in sound samples (Kick, Snare, Clap and Hi Hat); it is also possible to load other audio samples edited via Pioneer's Remixbox software and stored on an SD memory card
Release FX: a small controller that removes the music during playback and leaves only the sound effects. This function is also used to create opposite effects: when you release the lever, all effects are removed and only the original music continues to play. This section includes Vinyl Brake, Echo and Back Spin effects

RMX-1000 users can also take advantage of the Remixbox software to customize, from a computer, various parameters of the effects box (output volume, values of the different sections...) and then transfer these new configurations via an SD card (not included). Pioneer has also included the VST/AU RMX-1000Plugin so that users can create the same kind of production and effects when mixing on their computer
