The MA2CHBOX.XL is a reference class headphone amplifier for MADI (AES10) and AES3 signals. The unit has three MADI ports, one AES3 port, one headphone output and one stereo line level output. All signals (stereo pair or mono channel) from the three MADI streams or the AES input can be routed independently to the headphones, AES output or line output. The AES input signal can also be integrated into the MADI stream.

The MA2CHBOX.XL offers a high degree of flexibility for MADI monitoring and line monitoring with its three standard MADI interfaces:
- SC optical (single-mode or multi-mode)
- coaxial (BNC)
- SFP
The "Small Form Factor Pluggable" slot can accommodate an appropriate SFP module depending on the user's needs. A routing port provides an independent output to feed each MADI output.
Remote Control
The USB port allows firmware upgrades, serial data integration or remote control for extended applications (e.g. internal matrixing). Channel-based matrixing can be defined by remote control software and stored in the device.
