The AxC SWD5G integrates two manageable Gigabit Ethernet switches, eight RJ45 connectors and two SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) cages. The SFP cages enable hot-plugging of compact transceiver modules to directly connect single-mode or multi-mode optical fibers.
The AxC-SWD5G is configurable as :
A single 10-port Gigabit Ethernet switch.
Two independent full speed Ethernet switches, each offering 5 Gigabit ports. The dual-switch mode simplifies redundancy management of Dante or CobraNet networks.
The AxC-SWD5G can be remotely monitored with AVS-Monitor, using either an IP, Dante or EtherSound network. AVS-Monitor provides port specific statistics to dynamically monitor and analyze the capabilities of each link in real time.
VLANs can be configured to group ports into virtual networks for interference-free use of multiple protocols (Dante, ES100, CobraNet, DMX/Ethernet, intercom, etc.) and allow them to share one or two fiber connections.
Like all Audio ToolBox audio cards, the AxC-AVB can be inserted into any slot of an AVBx3 and AVBx7 box.
