Each channel has 2 inputs on 6.35mm jack which are passively pre-mixed via a resistor circuit. These 2 inputs can be used to sum a stereo signal into mono or to connect a redundant system in case of failure of the first one. One effect loop is present per channel. It allows the 2 inputs to share the same effects processor. A "thru" connector allows to monitor the input locally.
The Pro D8 is equipped with 8 Radial transformers, each of which is magnetically isolated to reduce noise caused by external magnetic fields. In order to be able to handle high amplitude signals efficiently, a -15dB pad switch is present on the front panel. The balanced XLR outputs are equipped with a polarity inversion switch and a ground lift. Another ground switch is present on the PCB to adapt the Pro D8 to all environments.
