The NXAMP concept goes far beyond a simple "amplifier + speaker controller" bundle. Significant advances in DSP allow for simultaneous protection of the amplifier and the connected speakers. The NXAMP4x1 uses a unique dual power cord, providing power supplies with nearly double the power of most current audio amplifiers, while maintaining an extremely easy connection to the mains, on one or more phases. To absorb this enormous current, the NXAMP4x1 incorporates 4 high-powered resonant power supplies, working in opposite phase, which cancels out background noise and reduces EMC emissions.
The design of the NXAMP4x1 uses specific advanced components: this ultimate evolution of Yamaha EEEngine technology ensures the sonic purity of conventional Class AB, but with typical Class D heat dissipation. Not only do the two dual-core DSPs provide protection and optimization of the amplifier, but they also redefine the standard of speaker processing for NEXO models, with proprietary algorithms that combine sonic performance and reliability.
With useful features such as full access to all functions without a computer via the front panel, on-the-fly speaker model selection per output, or load tracking via GPIO or Ethersound™/AES/EBU/Dante™ network to ensure system security, the NXAMP4x1 is ideal in a wide variety of demanding applications.
