Thanks to the new Non-Stop Loop Recording feature, which you won't find on any other workstation, you can record - without interruption - several tracks one after the other. When you're feeling inspired, just let the sequencer loop and record the drums, bass and melody in succession! Our Groove patterns have been further refined. You can now also specify the measure (in percentage) of the trigger quantization and the touch. Save your handmade patterns in one of the 16 memory locations. The improved RPS function is also useful: RPS is a function that allows you to control a complete musical phrase with a single key on the keyboard; such a phrase reacts to the force (touch) with which you press the corresponding key. The XP-80's sequencer also stores the Patch numbers and effect settings for all the sound sources in your system for each song. The new generation arpeggiatorForget everything you know about arpeggiators! All the ancestors of the XP-80's arpeggiator pale in comparison, because it's much smarter and more expressive. For example, with the push of a button you can have dance and techno patterns that are very "in"; there are also 33 more conventional arpeggio patterns for pop and rock music (for working on rhythm guitar chords, for example) and other styles. Despite all these possibilities, the Arpeggiator is still very easy to use. You can send the arpeggiated notes to a sequencer or other sound modules via the MIDI Out jack. Furthermore, the Arpeggiator can be synchronized via MIDI clock (e.g. from a sequencer).
