SSL Live V Software
The L500 Plus offers a diverse collection of inputs and outputs built into the control surface and can operate without the use of stageboxes, which may be sufficient when the console is used in a pure FOH role. The console has automatic detection to identify any connected Live I/O SSL in the routing software.
Standard features:
14 mic/line inputs, 2 dedicated mic/line talkback inputs (expandable to 32 in)
12 line outputs, 4 headphone/monitor outputs (expandable to 32 out)
4 pairs of AES inputs and 4 pairs of AES outputs (expandable to 8 pairs) 2 redundant MADI pairs in coaxial (expandable to 4 pairs) 2 redundant MADI pairs in optical. If redundancy is not required, these connections can be independent, providing a maximum of twelve ports. In addition, a separate optical MADI port (out/in) is designed to be used as an "effects loop" for connecting an external FX device such as a system using Waves Multirack or a VST effects host.
The console has two redundant power supplies.
Optional:
16 mic/line inputs and 16 line outputs
4 pairs of AES inputs and 4 pairs of AES outputs with fully variable sample rate conversion.
2 redundant MADI pairs in coaxial
